The short version
agencybrief.co does not set any cookies, and our pages don't use localStorage. The one browser-storage item we use is described below: a sessionStorage entry holding campaign tags, which your browser deletes when you close the tab.
What the site does use
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. We count page views with Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics (a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com). It is cookieless: it does not set cookies, use local storage, or fingerprint you to track you across sites. It gives us aggregate numbers such as page views, referrers and page load times.
- Anonymous conversion counts. When you click a Subscribe button, or land back on our site after subscribing, your browser sends a single event name (
subscribe_clickorsubscribed) to/api/track. We add 1 to a counter for that day. Campaign tags, if present, are sent too, so the daily totals can be split by channel. We store no cookies, no IP address, no email and no identifier of any kind, only the daily totals. - Campaign tags (sessionStorage, first-party). If you arrive through a link carrying campaign tags (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign) or a referral code (ref), our script keeps those values in your browser's sessionStorage under the keyab_utmfor the rest of your visit. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to other sites, and it disappears when you close the tab. We use it in two ways: it is sent along with the anonymous conversion counts above so we can count by channel (e.g. "x", "reddit", "directory"), and when you click Subscribe it is added to the Stripe Checkout link (asclient_reference_idand the sameutm_*tags, and a creator's referral code may be pre-filled as the promo code). If you subscribe, the channel and any promo code are stored with your subscription record. - Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes requests (including your IP address) to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy. It sets no cookies on our pages.
Third parties you may visit
- Stripe. Our Subscribe buttons go to a Stripe Payment Link (Stripe Checkout) on buy.stripe.com, and "Manage subscription" goes to billing.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies on stripe.com for payments, fraud prevention and security. Those cookies are not set on agencybrief.co and are covered by Stripe's cookie policy.
- Links to sources in our issues lead to other sites with their own policies.
Our emails are sent through Resend. This policy covers the website. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your email address.
