Jasper alternatives for agencies: what to use now that Pro starts at $59 a seat
· Agency Brief
Most "Jasper alternatives" lists are written for solo bloggers. This one is for agencies with two to fifteen people, a book of clients with different brand voices, and margins that suffer whenever per-seat software gets more expensive.
All prices below were checked on the vendors' own pricing or help pages on October 16, 2026, and each one is linked. When we couldn't confirm something, we say so.
Why agencies are looking: the seat math changed
In Issue #1 we gave Jasper a REVIEW your seats call. Jasper dropped its Creator plan. The cheapest plan is now Pro, at $59 per seat per month billed yearly or $69 billed monthly (Jasper pricing).
Three details on that page matter to an agency:
- Pro includes one seat. Jasper's FAQ says that if you need more than one user on Pro, you contact sales about the Business plan (Jasper pricing).
- Business is custom-priced and starts with a 12-month commitment (Jasper pricing).
- Pro includes 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences. Business makes those unlimited (Jasper pricing). If you write for more than two clients, two Brand Voices is the limit you'll hit first.
Usage-based features such as the GEO Hub and Agents also run on credits that "sit alongside seat-based pricing on the Business plan" (Jasper pricing). On Business, your bill depends on how much people use, not only on how many seats you buy.
None of this makes Jasper bad. It means you should do the math again. An agency with four writers who need real seats and more than two client voices is looking at a sales conversation and an annual contract.
What "good" looks like for an agency
Before you compare tools, decide what you need. For most small agencies, it comes down to four things:
- Several client voices without paying for an upgrade. You need somewhere to keep each client's style rules, samples and banned words.
- Seat cost at 2–10 people, not at one person.
- Client-data terms you can put in a contract. For example, does the vendor train on your inputs by default?
- Monthly billing, so you can drop a seat when a contractor leaves.
Templates and "100+ use cases" barely matter. Your team will use five of them.
The alternatives, with verdicts
ChatGPT Business: TRY (as the default replacement)
Price: Standard seats are $25 per user per month billed monthly, or $20 billed annually, with a minimum of 2 seats. Premium seats with higher limits are $125 monthly or $100 annually (OpenAI Help Center). The individual Plus plan is $20/month, billed monthly only (OpenAI Help Center).
What you get that matters: Standard seats include Projects, GPTs, Company Knowledge and Deep Research. OpenAI states that it "won't train on your workspace's data" on Business (OpenAI Help Center).
For agencies: one Project or custom GPT per client, each loaded with that client's voice document, does most of the job Jasper's Brand Voice does. It costs a third as much per seat and has no cap on how many clients you can set up. What you lose is Jasper's marketing-specific editor and governance layer. You'd be rebuilding that from your own prompts and process docs.
The catch: Plus is meant for individuals. If you're putting client work through it, use Business, because the data terms are the reason to pay.
Claude Team: TRY (especially for long-form and voice-heavy work)
Price: Standard seats are $25 per member per month billed monthly, or $20 billed annually, with a minimum of two members. Premium seats are $125 monthly or $100 annually (Claude Help Center). The individual Pro plan is $20 billed monthly, or $17/month on an annual plan ($200 up front) (Claude pricing).
What you get that matters: Projects with project sharing on Team, connectors to Google Drive, Gmail and Slack, and SSO. On Team and Enterprise the default is "None by default" for model training (Claude pricing). Note that Anthropic lists sharing projects and collaborating on them as a Team feature. It is not available on individual Pro (Claude pricing).
For agencies: the seat price is the same as ChatGPT Business, and the setup is the same: a shared Project per client holding its voice guide and approved samples. Which one writes better for your clients is something to test, not something to take from a listicle. See our ChatGPT vs Claude for agency copywriting piece for a one-week test you can run.
The catch: usage limits are per member and reset weekly (Claude Help Center). Heavy writers may need a Premium seat, and at $100–125 that's more than a Jasper Pro seat.
Copy.ai Chat: WATCH
Price: $29/month billed monthly, or $24/month billed annually ($288/yr), for 5 seats, with "Unlimited Words in Chat" and access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models (Copy.ai pricing).
For agencies: on paper it's the cheapest per seat on this list, at under $6 a seat for a five-person team. The next tier, Growth, jumps to $1,000/month billed annually (Copy.ai pricing), so in practice you only get chat. Copy.ai now presents itself as a go-to-market (GTM) workflow platform, and its pricing page is built around sales-team use cases.
Why WATCH, not TRY: we couldn't confirm from the pricing page what brand-voice or data-handling terms apply on the Chat plan. Read Copy.ai's terms before you put client material in. If you're comfortable with them, it's a cheap shared drafting space.
Anyword: TRY (only if you write paid ads)
Price: Starter is $49/month billed monthly, or $39/month billed annually, with 1 seat and 1 brand voice. Data-Driven is listed at $99/month monthly or $79/month annually with 3 seats (Anyword pricing). Flag: the same page also shows a conflicting summary line ("$59/mo or $49/mo yearly, max 10 seats") for Data-Driven. Confirm at checkout.
What you get that matters: performance predictions (a capped number per month), brand rules and an audience library. The cap is 50 predictions on monthly Starter, per the page (Anyword pricing).
For agencies: this is the one alternative that does something a general chat tool doesn't. It scores copy variants before you run them. A performance team writing ad and email variants every week has a reason to pay for it. A content team doesn't. We haven't independently verified how accurate the predictions are. Treat them as one input next to your A/B tests.
WRITER Starter: Skip (for now)
Price: unverified. WRITER's plans page lists a Starter plan for "up to 5 users" with one team Personality profile and 5 Playbooks. When we checked, it showed no price. The FAQ says Starter offers "monthly or annual per-seat plans with fixed credit limits."
For agencies: WRITER's strengths, such as governance, audit logs and departmental brand profiles, are mostly on Enterprise (WRITER plans). One Personality profile on Starter is a worse fit for agency work than Jasper's two Brand Voices. Skip it unless a regulated client requires it.

How to switch without losing a month
- Export your Jasper Brand Voices and Knowledge assets as plain documents. A voice guide that lives only inside one vendor's product locks you in. Keep the master copy in your own drive.
- Make one voice doc per client: a short description of the voice, 3–5 approved samples, a banned-phrases list and formatting rules. You'll load it into whichever tool you pick.
- Run two tools side by side for one billing cycle. Give the same three briefs to each. Judge them on edit time to client-ready copy, not on which first draft is prettier.
- Cancel Jasper at the end of the cycle, not mid-cycle. Jasper says you keep access until the billing period ends (Jasper pricing). If you're on an annual plan, put the renewal date in your calendar now.
Verdict
For most small agencies, a Business or Team plan on ChatGPT or Claude, plus a voice doc per client, replaces Jasper at roughly a third of the per-seat cost, and it doesn't cap how many client voices you can keep. Keep Jasper if your team actually uses its marketing workflows and agents and you've already accepted an annual Business contract. Add Anyword only if your billing comes from paid-ad copy.
What we couldn't verify: WRITER Starter pricing, Copy.ai's data and brand-voice terms on the Chat plan, and which Anyword Data-Driven price is correct. We'll update this page when vendors publish clearer terms.
